Dispute Resolution Policy
This policy governs the resolution of disputes concerning domains registered within the HeadlessDomains ecosystem (.agent, .boss, .chatbot, etc.).
1. Grounds for Dispute
A dispute may be filed if all three of the following elements are present:
- The registered domain name is identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which the complainant has rights.
- The respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the domain name.
- The domain name has been registered and is being used in bad faith.
2. Bad Faith Evidence
Evidence of bad faith includes, but is not limited to:
- Registering the domain primarily for the purpose of selling it to the complainant for valuable consideration.
- Registering the domain to prevent the trademark owner from reflecting the mark in a corresponding domain name.
- Registering the domain primarily to disrupt the business of a competitor.
- Using the domain to intentionally attract internet users for commercial gain by creating a likelihood of confusion with the complainant's mark.
3. Process and Timelines
We aim for a swift resolution within 14–30 days:
- Filing: Complainant submits the case and uploads evidence via the portal.
- Notification: Respondent is notified via known contact methods (email/webhook).
- Response: Respondent has 14 days to submit a defense and counter-evidence.
- Decision: A designated moderator reviews the case and issues a public decision within 14 days of the response period ending.
4. Outcomes
Moderators may rule to:
- Dismiss: The complaint is denied, and the domain remains with the respondent.
- Suspend: The domain is temporarily locked from transfer or updates pending further review or external legal action.
- Transfer: The domain registration is transferred to the complainant.
5. Transparency
In accordance with UDRP standards, all case details including the domain, complainant name/username, respondent name/username, submitted evidence files, and final decisions are public. Redaction is reserved strictly for exceptional safety or privacy circumstances at the discretion of the moderator.
